Collin County Classic

Note: May 30 and 31 are the primary days; however, May 29 may be used, if necessary.

3 game guarantee for baseball, 3 game guarantee for softball, weather permitting.

Pool games, followed by bracket play.

Rings for 1st and 2nd place teams in each bracket!

Schedule will be released by May 23.

Rec teams only! But combined teams of rec players are welcome!

Registration Policies

Only players registered for the Spring 2026 season in either McKinney Baseball and Softball Association (MBSA) or another recreational baseball or softball league in Collin County or neighboring areas may participate. Acceptance and disqualification of teams is purely at the discretion of MBSA Board of Directors.
Teams must play in the assigned division for their home league division (i.e. no "playing down" or trophy-hunting). Age divisions playing on the same field dimensions may be combined should MBSA Board of Directors deem necessary (i.e. 9-10u, 11-12u, 13u-14u).
Space is limited. First come, first served.
Wear your regular league uniforms and team names.
Guest players: Teams may include guest players who are playing in the same age division in other participating rec leagues. Rosters must be submitted two weeks prior to the tournament.
Players may only play on 1 team, regardless of age division, throughout the tournament and must be on the roster.
To reiterate -- This tournament is only for rec teams. If a rec team has played in a select/travel tournament, registration acceptance will be contingent upon MBSA approval. Teams found later to violate eligibility rules may be disqualified without refund.

If a team cancels its registration before the Registration Window closes, it will receive a refund minus a $50 administration fee.
If the tournament is cancelled in its entirety, all teams that had valid registrations at that time will receive a full refund.
If a division fails to make due to a lack of a sufficient number of teams, and MBSA Board of Directors deem that it also cannot be combined with another division at the same field dimensions, all teams in the cancelled division will receive a full refund.
The only refunds that may be granted after the Registration Window closes, except for a cancellation of the tournament in its entirety, may be for game cancellations by MBSA Board of Directors that are not rescheduled as a result of weather, field availability, or staffing issues. A scheduled team in such a cancelled game may be eligible for a $100 refund per such instance if the team did not play in 3 or more other tournament games, and any such refund would be the sole discretion of the MBSA Board of Directors. The number of such refunds, plus the number of tournament games played by the team, shall not exceed 3 combined. For the purpose of clarity, forfeits and games that started but did not complete (for whatever reason) are not eligible for any refund.
